TwitterThe limitation of 140 characters max. for tweets won't be removed. This was confirmed by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in an NBC television show yesterday. Dorsey's statement is the preliminary end for all speculations and rumors concerning a possible extension of tweets' length.

In yesterday's NBC Today Show Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey gave a clear statement concerning a possible end for the 140-character limit for tweets: "It’s staying, it’s a good constraint for us and it allows for of-the-moment brevity." Asked about possible changes at Twitter Dorsey said: "We’re changing a lot. We’re always gonna make Twitter better."

In the last weeks and months there have been many speculations about a possible removal of the 140-character limitation for tweets. This was followed by a massive decline of Twitter's stock prices. Another speculation concerned a suspected change of the timeline from chronologic to algorithmic and selected order. This was instantly denied by Dorsey who promised that the timeline would remain as it is - with little adjustments.
