Google currently seems to have problems displaying hreflang information in Google Search Console. Some webmasters report a sudden decrease for the number of displayed hreflangs.
Webmasters of international websites currently have to face problems with a decreasing number of displayed hrefangs in Google Search Console. The following screenshot shows one example for this:
The hreflang attribute is used to link to the different local versions of international websites. This helps Google to find the correct attribution for countries and languages in the search results.
Several requests about the display of hreflangs in GSC made today to the address of SEO Südwest give a hint that there might indeed a problem. Even on international level some SEOs noticed irregularities, e.g. Rusty Brick:
